Hello! I\u2019m Simon. I\u2019ve Been Developing Games Since 2010<\/h2>\n

I’ve been a gamer since my childhood, and I always enjoyed more the idea of editing and creating my content instead of only playing the game itself. When I was at school I started this journey as a modder in 2009, developing a couple of projects for Hexen and Heretic, and this gives me the approach in Level design since the beginning. But it wasn’t until 2010 after I saw a video of a game in development<\/a> that I decided to start my career in game development.
I started studying Computer Engineer. My first approaches in game development, wherein Game Programming and Level Design. I started my old-school first-person shooter as my first experience in game development. However, while I was making it, I attended some game jams in my country: Videogames Extreme Workshop by Videogames Chile and the Global Game Jam.<\/p>\n

In 2013, one year before my graduation, I was able to complete my first-person shooter; This, however, made a breakpoint in my entire career direction as I realize that I wanted to become a professional game designer.
Since then, I started to grow up this part of the game development, trying to apply this knowledge wherever I worked, this lead me to my current state, where I became a complete professional with wide knowledge in different areas of game development, I take my chance and started to study a Master’s Degree in this area while I’m still looking forward for the chance to become a professional Game Designer as I continue learning more and more about the career path I chose.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I was born on Chill\u00e1n in 2nd of may of 1993, \u00a0I’m a computer engineer and a video games fan, I always enjoyed those things and I decided to make them the reason of my life.<\/p>\n

I went from San Buenaventura School on Chill\u00e1n, I studied there all my childwood till my graduation, My passions were the mathematics and the poetry, and my enemy just the reality. Since 2011 I’ve decided to entry to study Computing Engineering and actually I got graduated in 2014 as Computer Engineer after making my final project using Unreal Engine 4 and making a system which allows you to create FPS with a Inventory, put dialogs in the scenes more easily using DataTables, a really simple but useful SaveSystem which even saves your inventory, direction and position in the map, and an achievement system that can be placed and activated if player meet certain condition. I had a 6.0 out of 7.0 in the project.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

My first approach in videogame development was before that. In 2009 I made a game modding community called HeXentic Games (Now is my own game development studio). There I created some mods to HeXen and also I made a few ones by myself for DooM 2.<\/p>\n

Several years has been passed since then, now my focus is in Game Level Design, trying to do some pretty stuff with the nowadays tools as Unreal Engine, CryEngine and Unity.<\/p>\n
